Maxeon Solar Panels
Back-contact cells, long warranties
Maxeon panels put all the wiring on the back of each cell, so more of the front catches sunlight. That means high output from a small roof and slow aging.

Wolf River Electric designs and installs Maxeon systems for homes in every state we serve.
How Maxeon Cells Differ
- No metal grid lines on the front of the cell, so more of the surface collects light
- A solid copper backing that resists the cracks and corrosion that wear down conventional cells
- Strong output on hot days, with a temperature coefficient of -0.27% per °C on Maxeon 7
- A clean, all-black look on the roof

Is Maxeon Right for Your Home?
Maxeon panels make the most sense when:
- Your roof has limited space and you want the most power from it
- You plan to stay in your home for many years
- You want a long panel warranty
Our team will compare Maxeon with other panels for your roof and show you the price and production difference side by side. Qualifying homeowners can also choose our Solar Price Reset prepaid lease, which may save 30% off the retail system cost.
Do Maxeon panels work in Minnesota winters?
Yes. Solar panels work well in the cold, and cool temperatures help panel efficiency. The solid copper backing on Maxeon cells is built to resist the cracking that snow loads and freeze-thaw cycles can cause in conventional cells.
How long do Maxeon panels last?
Maxeon 7 panels are warranted to lose no more than 0.25% of their power per year, with 40 years of coverage when the system is registered. Most homeowners can expect decades of steady production.
