Job Description:
As a Journeyman Electrician with Wolf River, you’ll be joining our team of experienced and
reliable electricians working on a wide variety of electrical systems such as solar systems,
electrical panels, lighting, motor controls, and conveyors. You’ll be building your
relationship with our team and continue doing what you love, and loving what you do!
We will provide you with all the equipment and tools you need, to make sure that no job
is too complicated or too annoying for you to handle.
Job Duties:
● Terminate combiner boxes
● Panel/LV work
● Install metering equipment
● Layout, bend, thread and install conduit
● Layout and install switchgear, switchboards and electrical devices
● Trench with shovel and install PVC raceway
● Pull and terminate aluminum direct bury wire
● Connect and support DC wire
● Install electrical enclosures
● Supervise the work of apprentices
● Unload and stage material
● Perform electrical testing and commissioning
● Knowledge of voltage, amperage, insulation resistance, continuity and ohm meter electrical
testers
● Comprehend/adhere to company policy safe work practices
● Comprehend electrical theory and National Electrical Code
● Ability to complete tasks without general supervision
● Provide effective and timely communication with the office and vendors when appropriate.
Requirements:
● Solar experience preferred
● Registered MN, WI, or IA Journeyman (licensed) required
● Able to read and understand drawings/blueprints
● Understand motors and controls
● Comprehend/adhere to company policy safe work practices
● Demonstrate factors exceeding commercial electrician and electrical helper
● Strong leader skills, ability to run crews of 20+ people
● Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
● Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
● Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
Compensation is based on experience.
